Calamities & Destructive Storms

The seriousness of this entry cannot be downplayed. I have written on two other occasions concerning and event that occurred  one morning while driving to my place of employment. Entry 63 and 74 both discussed what I heard in my spirit that morning. When I heard a voice tell me to “look up! what do you see?” it is really difficult to explain what it is like when such a voice speaks to you. All I can tell you is that it was undeniably plain spoken. I did not get the sense that I was being forced into anything. I just did what was being requested in that moment.

When I heard this voice back in the spring of 2017, I was baffled as to why I was chosen to hear this voice. The voice told me to find the passage on wings once I identified a cloud formation resembling a pair of wings .  When I came across Psalm 57 in the Amplified Bible that morning it seemed to begin a quest of trying to figure out what “calamities and destructive storms” was being revealed.

At first, I thought such storms had to do with my personal life’s journey. Then COVID-19 hit and I began to consider that the pandemic must be what the voice was holding up for me to see. I think the pandemic is only part of the meaning of calamities and destructive storms. The scriptures are very plain when it indicates that the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. The Lord God is Love! God is not angry or judgmental regarding his children, and we are all God’s children. However, as God’s children, we have taken it upon ourselves, due to our misunderstanding of God’s nature, to believe a lie that God stands in judgement against us.

The lie we have internalized has caused us to believe that we are alienated from God and each other. This alienation is ripe with mistrust. When such mistrust continues long enough the outcome is violence and separation. If you don’t believe that then you haven’t been listening to current events. Just recently more and more people are speculating that the United States is on the verge of a civil war. If such a war is coming, then the arrival of such conflict is not coming from God but from our own selfish and greedy mistrust of each other. This is apparent from the haves and the have nots.

What may be lurking around the corner will catch numbers of people off guard. When people are caught off guard then their action will be retaliation. If retaliation becomes the order of the day, then violence, blood shed and death will reign. Jesus told us that the enemy comes not but for to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus told us that he came to give life and to give it more abundantly. The only way to survive what may be lurking around the corner is to find refuge and confidence in the shadow of His Wings.

The principalities and powers are real spiritual entities. They harbor fear, anger and promote alienation from God. This alienation from God is a mindset built upon a lie. Remember, Jesus said that satan was a liar from the beginning. Jesus Christ is The Truth. He is closer to you than your next breath because of His love for you. God believes in you. You wouldn’t exist apart from God's love. When you internalize and believe the lie that God is judging you, then you join in with the enemy promoting fear and alienation from God and each other.

If the Spirit of God thought it important enough to raise awareness to find shelter and confidence under the shadow of His wings until calamities and destructive storms are passed, then I beseech each of you to at least give this possibility some prayerful thought so when things are revealed you won’t be caught off guard!
